UNRAVELING A WEARABLE ART PROJECT
How many facets can love have? And what exactly is this heavy word? Is it desire? Is it lust? Is it happiness, or is it pain? No one will deny that drama sometimes plays a part. These questions sparked the beginning of this project in the costume drama X, a theater production by the young members of the Giovanni Fratelli theater company. During the design process and the many hours spent in the studio, not only did the characters come to life, but so did our love for drama and reinterpretation of the past.

Expect flowing skirts, tight corsets, high collars, and absurd hoop skirts. But with a twist—bright colors, kitschy bows, lace décolletés, and bare legs. This is what we present to you in this photo series. Portraits with intense gazes and blood-red blouses capturing a moment, the “unraveling” of the past, the drama, the lust, the desire, and the love.
